Oil prices rise slightly after yesterday’s decline, Brent at $73.5 per barrel

Benchmark crude prices are rising moderately on Friday morning, trying to recover from the decline seen in the previous session.

February Brent futures on the London ICE Futures exchange rose by $0.07 (0.1%) to $73.48 per barrel. On Thursday, these contracts fell in price by $0.11 (0.2%) to $73.41 per barrel.

January WTI futures on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) rose by $0.09 (0.13%) to $70.11 per barrel. The day before, futures fell by $0.27 (0.4%) to $70.02 per barrel.
