Chinese President Xi Jinping will not travel to Washington next month as an inauguration guest of US President-elect Donald Trump, reports CBS News. It was reported earlier that Trump had invited Xi to this ceremony.
China’s ambassador to the US and his spouse are expected to attend the January 20 event, as is standard practice. Sources told CBS News that additional officials from Beijing may join them.
