A blizzard and low horizontal visibility are expected in the regions. Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring, wrote on his Facebook page:
“Due to the penetration of a cyclone from the Mediterranean Sea, snow is expected in Shirak, Lori, the foothills of Tavush, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik and the mountainous regions of Vayots Dzor from today afternoon to evening and on December 28, significant in some areas. A blizzard and low horizontal visibility are also expected in the mountainous regions.
Precipitation is also expected in Yerevan, in the form of snow in the highlands, wet snow and sleet in the lowlands,” he wrote.
