Brent crude rises to $74.61 per barrel from year-to-date lows

Oil prices are rising moderately on Friday morning, recovering from a decline to year-to-date lows at the end of the previous session.

April Brent futures on the London ICE Futures exchange rose by $0.32 (0.43%) to $74.61 per barrel. On Thursday, these contracts fell in price by $0.32 (0.4%) to $74.29 per barrel.

WTI March futures on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) rose by $0.25 (0.35%) to $70.86 per barrel. The day before, futures fell by $0.42 (0.6%) to $70.61 per barrel.
