Zelensky says Trump has no plan to end the war

US President Donald Trump does not yet have an “official” plan to end the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said. “What is in certain publications… I am sure that this is not President Trump’s official plan,” Zelensky said. He warned that a lot of information will soon appear about a potential plan being prepared “in Kyiv, not in Kyiv,” and in some ways these reports may coincide with reality, but in most cases they do not. According to Zelensky, Kiev has a “vision” of a plan to end the war and “specific things” have already been discussed with the American side even before Trump’s inauguration. “Our teams will work together, there can be no plan separately from anyone, even from the United States,” the Ukrainian president noted. He urged to wait for the start of official negotiations and their first results. Even before winning the US presidential election, Trump promised to end Russia’s war against Ukraine as soon as possible when he was in the White House. Before his inauguration on January 20, Trump’s advisers offered him various options. One of them was presented by Keith Kellogg, who later became the special envoy for Ukraine in the new US administration. The plan involves freezing military action along the current front lines and forcing Moscow and Kyiv to negotiate peace.
