Musk: US Will Lose Future Wars If It Doesn’t Reform Its Military

The United States faces defeat in future wars unless it urgently and radically reforms its military, Tesla founder Elon Musk has expressed.

“America’s weapons programs must be completely reformed. Without immediate and radical changes, America will lose the next war miserably,” he wrote in H. Musk added that the current US strategy is to “build a small number of weapons at a high cost to fight the war that happened yesterday.”

After his inauguration, US President Donald Trump appointed Musk to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). As NBC News previously clarified, despite its name, DOGE will not be a full-fledged department within the federal government – the creation of such a department requires approval from the US Congress. Trump stated that DOGE “will provide outside advice and guidance.”

On January 24, the new agency reported that in its first 80 hours of operation, it had canceled government contracts deemed unnecessary for approximately $420 million. In total, Musk expects to reduce US government spending by $2 trillion.
