The “Russian House” in Baku, the capital o Azerbaijan, has ceased its activities.
“In connection with the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ‘Russian House’ representation of Rossotrudnichestvo [i.e. the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation of the Russian Federation] in Baku is ceasing operations,” the organization said in a statement.
The Russian name has been disassembled from the facade of the “Russian House” building. Only the Azerbaijani inscription “Rus evi” now remains on it.
