US President Donald Trump said he has ordered the Justice Department to fire all federal prosecutors who served in the department during the administration of former President Joe Biden. He wrote about this on Tuesday on his page on the social network Truth Social.
“The Justice Department has been politicized like never before over the last four years. That’s why I have ordered the firing of all remaining Biden-era federal prosecutors,” Trump said.
The president added that it is necessary to “immediately” restore order to the Justice Department and restore American citizens’ trust in this institution. “America’s Golden Age must have a fair justice system – and that starts today,” Trump emphasized.
