Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the information about the alleged 4% trust in him among Ukrainians comes from Russia. According to him, these figures are being discussed between the United States and Russia. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Zelensky at a press conference amid negotiations between the US and Russian delegations.
Zelensky responded to the statement by US President Donald Trump that he allegedly has a 4% trust rating among Ukrainian citizens. The head of state noted that he does not comment on opinion polls, but recalled that the latest KIIS rating showed that 57% of Ukrainians trust him.
“If someone wants to change me right now, then right now it will not work,” the president said.
Zelensky added that the information about the 4% trust comes from Russia, and it was discussed between representatives of the United States and Russia.
“We understand this and we have evidence that these figures are being discussed between America and Russia. Unfortunately, President Trump, whom we respect very much as the leader of the people, lives in a disinformation space,” the president said.
The head of state emphasized that the number one issue now is not trust ratings, but how Ukraine can defend itself from Russian shelling and the return of prisoners of war.
“I have not heard an answer from the United States to my question about increasing the number of Patriots, although I constantly raise it,” Zelensky added.
