At the Under-23 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, USA, the Armenian team representatives Gaspar Terteryan and Martik Petrosyan were awarded silver medals. Gaspar Terteryan, competing in the 72 kg weight class, reached the final, where he was defeated by a representative of Kazakhstan, finishing the tournament in second place. In the 82 kg category, Martik Petrosyan also reached the final, but conceded to the Iranian opponent in a decisive fight, becoming the silver medalist of the World Cup. The Armenian team continues to fight for another medal as well. Samvel Terteryan will compete for the bronze medal in the 77 kg category with the current European champion, Levante Leva of Hungary.
