At Tuesday’s press briefing, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), was asked whether Russia continues to monitor the situation with the persons displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia, and whether new deliveries of humanitarian aid were planned.
“Of course, this humanitarian issue is in the domain of attention of the Russian side. And a new, fairly large humanitarian action is planned in the near future through one of the domestic NGOs, the Russian Humanitarian Mission.
On the Armenian side, this issue is being dealt with by the republican organization of Eurasia and, of course, other organizations. And, as you understand, you probably remember, the Russian Humanitarian Mission. The Russian Humanitarian Mission has previously sent humanitarian aid to Armenia. That is also in October 2023. In particular, six tons of food, personal hygiene products, etc. were given to the displaced people from Karabakh,” Zakharova responded.
