Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Avoids Commenting on Baku’s Position on Occupation

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan avoids commenting on Azerbaijan’s position on the occupation of a part of Armenia’s sovereign territory.

“I am somewhat constrained in my answer, since a certain rule still remains. Thus, we have an agreement in the commissions not to give any comments on this or that issue or matter. Especially if we have not discussed and published the positions of the parties jointly,” Grigoryan explained, speaking on October 22 at a session of the National Assembly of Armenia during the discussion of the ratification of the regulations of the border security commissions.

The Deputy Prime Minister, in particular, stated that they agreed to limit themselves to the details of the demarcation process during public speeches.

“This process is sensitive not only for Armenia, but also for Azerbaijan,” the government representative assured.
