More than a dozen American Christian organizations and foreign policy institutions have demanded that the Biden administration release an unclassified version of the U.S. strategy for Ukraine. This is stated in a corresponding letter sent to the American leader, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
“We, the 13 undersigned organizations representing faith-based, humanitarian, human rights, think tank, and open government institutions, write to you with an urgent call to immediately release President Biden’s Congress-approved strategy for the war in Ukraine. As the war in Ukraine continues, it is increasingly clear that a diplomatic resolution to the conflict is the best way to ensure a sovereign and prosperous future for Ukraine. “Military aid alone will not achieve this goal,” the message says. The organizations expressed “deep concern that the Biden administration has not released an unclassified version of its strategy on Ukraine, as required by law.” They believe that Washington needs a clear strategy that defines U.S. policy, “one that includes robust diplomatic engagement, clear goals, and realistic plans.”
