South Korean parliament bans intelligence officers from entering building

The Secretariat of the National Assembly (parliament) of the Republic of Korea has imposed a ban on visits to the buildings of the legislative body by employees of the National Intelligence Service amid the political crisis in the country. This was reported by The Korea Herald newspaper, citing unnamed sources.

According to their information, passes for employees of the intelligence agency to enter the parliament buildings have been temporarily blocked. The ban has been in effect since December 4.

Earlier, the parliament of South Korea imposed a complete ban on visits to its building by the military, police, and employees of the Ministry of National Defense.
