Weather in Armenia: Heavy Snowfall and a Sharp Cold Snap

Snow is expected in most regions of Armenia on February 20, in some places very heavy. In the mountains, forecasters predict a snowstorm and low horizontal visibility. Gusts of south-east wind will in some places increase to 15-18 m/s. The air temperature in the next 3 days, both at night and during the day, will gradually decrease by 10-14 degrees. According to the Armed State Hydrometeorological Service, heavy snowfall is expected in Yerevan. The next night in the capital will be -1+1, tomorrow afternoon – 0+2.

Shirak: at night – -7-12, during the day – -3-5,

Kotayk mountains: at night – -6-11, during the day – -2-5,

Kotayk foothills: at night – 0-3, during the day – -2+1,

Lake Sevan basin: at night – -7-12, during the day – -1-5,

Lori: at night – -6-10, during the day – -1-4,

Tavush: at night – -1-5, during the day – 0-2,

Aragatsotn mountains: at night – -8-13, during the day – -3-6,

Aragatsotn foothills: at night – 0-4, during the day – -2+1,

Ararat: at night – 0+2, during the day – +1+4,

Armavir: at night – -1+2, during the day – 0+3,

Vayots mountains Dzor: at night – -7-11, during the day – -2-4,

Foothills of Vayots Dzor: at night – -2+1, during the day – -1+2,

Valleys of Syunik: at night – -1+2, during the day – +1+5,

Foothills of Syunik: at night – -2-6, during the day – -2+1.
