The chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party Irakli Garibashvili announced that he is leaving politics.
“I want to inform you of my decision to leave politics,” Garibashvili said at a briefing.
He also added that he considers his mission accomplished. During his speech, he repeatedly thanked the founder of the Georgian Meta Bidzina Ivanishvili for his trust and support. Garibashvili noted that he continues to support the party and its policies.
