A Baku court sentenced Karen Avanesyan to 16 years in prison for allegedly planning an armed provocation in occupied Stepanakert, Azerbaijani media reported.
As a reminder, the Azerbaijani side opened a false criminal case against Karen Avanesyan. It was alleged that on September 14, he attempted to approach an event in Stepanakert with an automatic weapon, then opened fire on approaching police officers and threw three hand grenades at them.
