A hot air balloon was found in the Sokolka commune of the Podlaskie Voivodeship of Poland, near the border with Belarus. This is reported by RMF FM.
The police are guarding the place of discovery. According to the radio station, the bullet was found in a field near the village of Sokolani, which is about ten kilometers from the border with Belarus.
The services did not say whether it was a meteorological balloon or possibly a contraband balloon.
A few weeks ago, balloons with locators and illegal tobacco products were found in the area.
Recently, a number of incidents have been reported in Lithuania regarding the use of hot air balloons to transport contraband from Belarus.
