The Kotayk Regional Criminal Police Department received a report from a resident of the Vanatur district of Hrazdan, who reported that between August 25 and 28, an unknown person broke into her home and stole gold jewelry, causing damages worth approximately one million drams.
The department’s task force responded to the scene. It was discovered that a key, likely used to open the door and steal the jewelry, had disappeared from the house on August 24. The collected materials have been sent to the Kotayk Regional Investigative Department.
Following a thorough investigation, the criminal police detained the victim’s neighbors – a 41-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man – on reasonable suspicion.
They confessed at the station. Both were taken to the Kotayk Regional Investigative Department. The circumstances of the crime are being clarified during the preliminary investigation.
