A criminal case has been opened under Article 550, Part 2, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for causing bodily harm as a result of a mine explosion. This was reported by the Criminal Investigation Department.
Earlier it became known that on April 24, in the border area of Berdavan, a resident of the village of Zorakana, Aykaz Melkumyan, was injured as a result of a mine explosion. The information was confirmed by the head of the community, Suren Martirosyan. According to him, Aykaz Melkumyan went to collect asparagus and bokhi that day. When he was late, his fellow villagers followed him and saw that he was injured.
“Aykaz did not lose his composure, tore his shirt and bandaged his injured leg so that it would not hurt.” “Aykaz is a freedom fighter, a participant in wars. We transferred him to the Noyemberyan Medical Center, and from there to Yerevan. “Aikaz’s right leg was amputated below the knee,” he said.
