Today, October 14, an emergency occurred in Yerevan. As reported by Shamshyan.com, at around 10:40 AM, the National Crisis Management Center “9-11” of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a call that a man had climbed onto the roof of one of the lighting stations of the Hrazdan Stadium and was threatening to commit suicide.
One fire brigade from Yerevan Fire and Rescue Unit No. 1 arrived at the scene.
For over three hours, police and rescuers have been negotiating with the man, trying to persuade him to abandon this extreme step and come down.
He has so far refused to come down.
Negotiations with him are ongoing.
Police are currently working to identify the man.
According to the photojournalist, he is a resident of the Gegharkunik region.
