A new memorandum on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway has been signed.

The heads of the railway departments of the governments of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia signed a memorandum of understanding on organizing freight transportation on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. The memorandum was signed during the “Transport Week” held in Kazakhstan.

The memorandum aims to increase the competitiveness and attractiveness of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, attract additional freight traffic, optimize delivery times, and ensure delivery within 4.5 days. In the event of delays, the parties undertake to notify each other and take measures to adjust the schedule.
