A new round of Putin-Trump talks is possible in the near future, it can be organized quickly, said Russian presidential spokesman Peskov.
It should be noted that on August 15, the US and Russian presidents met in Alaska. After negotiations that lasted about three hours, Trump and Putin announced that they had reached an agreement on some issues, while others still needed to be discussed. Putin characterized the meeting as constructive, expressing hope that “the agreements reached can be a starting point for resolving the Ukrainian conflict and restoring relations between Russia and the United States.”
Trump, in turn, said that “they have reached an agreement on many, many issues,” while noting that “there are several important points that we have not yet fully achieved, but we have made some progress.”
