A state ceremony dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held in Paris with the participation of the Prime Minister of France.

On April 24, a state ceremony dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Esplanade de l’Armenia, located along the Seine River in the heart of Paris, with the participation of French Prime Minister François Bayrou. This was reported by the Embassy of Armenia in France.

At the beginning of the event in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, Prime Minister François Bayrou, former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, Ambassador of Armenia to France Arman Khachatryan, Deputy Chairman of the France-Armenia Friendship Group Hervé Marcel, on behalf of Senate President Gérard Larcher, the co-chairs of the Coordinating Council of Franco-Armenian Organizations (CCAF) and other state and public figures laid wreaths at the statue of Komitas Vardapet.

Then, the CCAF co-chairs, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and Prime Minister François Bayrou, delivered speeches to the Armenian community of France.

Among the honored guests of the event were dozens of French officials: members of the French government, deputies, senators, members of regional and departmental councils, mayors, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in France.

The ceremony was followed by a traditional procession, in which numerous French Armenians took part.
