Anti-Turkish protests in Montenegro’s capital

Anti-Turkish protests have taken place in Montenegro’s capital Podgorica, local media reported.

Protesters chanted slogans such as “Turks out” and “Whoever doesn’t jump is a Turk.”

The protests began after a Turkish citizen attacked a Montenegrin resident. On the evening of October 26, Montenegrin police arrested two Turkish citizens for stabbing a Podgorica resident. Following the incident, the Montenegrin authorities decided to cancel the visa-free regime with Turkey.
