Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin has been immediately released from custody.
The decision was made by Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan of the Court of Appeals.
As a reminder, Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, Archbishop of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, was arrested on December 5. Archbishop Arshak is being held in the Yerevan-Centron Correctional Facility.
The decision to detain the Holy Father was made by Judge Masis Melkonyan.
On December 4, the National Security Service arrested Archbishop Arshak in the building of the Investigative Committee. The Investigative Committee reported on the progress of the investigation, which led to the arrest of Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin.
He is charged under Article 393, Part 2, paragraphs 1 and 4 of the Criminal Code.
