Argentine President Javier Milli’s party won a landslide victory in the elections, garnering 40% of the vote. Earlier, the US president threatened to cut aid to Argentina if opponents of Milli, who has made no secret of his love for Donald Trump, won.

Javier Milli’s government performed even better than expected. Specifically, it achieved a surprise victory in Buenos Aires State, receiving overwhelming support in Sunday’s legislative elections. However, while acknowledging that he will still need allies in parliament, a jubilant Milli declared that they have a historic and unique opportunity and that he will call on the majority of governors to engage in dialogue.
