At present, the Armavir Regional Court of First Instance, presided over by Judge Edgar Hovhannisyan, is hearing the case of Arman Saroyan (former Primate of Masyatsotn Bishop Gevorg Saroyan) against the Holy See.
It should be noted that the former clergyman is demanding reinstatement as Primate of the Masyatsotn Diocese.
However, Arman Saroyan failed to appear for the court hearing today; he filed a motion to adjourn the hearing, claiming he did not receive notice.
Nevertheless, Holy See representative Ara Zohrabyan insists that proper notice was given. Zohrabyan requested a half-hour recess to prove that notice was given.
