As a result of an armed attack on the police in Iran, 5 people were killed, the Mehr news agency reported.
In the city of Iranshahr in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, gunmen opened fire on two patrol cars with police officers. As a result of the attack, five police officers were killed and several were injured.
The attackers fled. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
