Artur Sargsyan was stripped of immunity. The Constitutional Court voted “for”

The Constitutional Court stripped Armenia faction MP Artur Sargsyan of immunity, thereby giving it the opportunity to prosecute him.

It should be noted that the prosecutor’s office submitted a motion to the National Assembly to strip the MP of his immunity and place him in custody.

62 Constitutional Court MPs voted for the motion. The opposition did not participate in the vote.

It should be noted that Artur Sargsyan had previously made a speech, noting that there was already a resolution on his arrest and stripping him of his immunity, and that it would be better for him not to waste time in the National Assembly, but to go to his 4 minor children and go to church with his wife, light a candle, and then voluntarily appear before the Investigative Committee.

Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan is now submitting a motion to place him in custody.
