The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will become a platform for dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by OSCE PA President Juan Pons Sampietro.
He stressed that the OSCE PA is an instrument of dialogue and peace, and in this regard, parliamentarians can become part of the settlement process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“The OSCE PA is not only a platform for observation or monitoring, but also an instrument for promoting dialogue and peace. I have had many conversations with colleagues from Azerbaijan and Armenia, and I have always emphasized that we must look to the future. At the autumn session in Istanbul, we will focus on the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan and become its platform.
We will not miss the opportunity that opened up after the signing of the joint declaration in Washington, and we are ready to become an instrument for its practical implementation.
