Azerbaijan has received another batch of equipment or ammunition, as evidenced by the flights of the Silk Way airline and previously signed military contracts, which were studied by Sputnik Armenia.
The latest flights of the Il-76TD-90VD aircraft are especially noteworthy.
It is known that Israel is one of the main countries supplying weapons to Azerbaijan. Recently, a Silk Way cargo plane departed from Baku for Tel Aviv. But in recent months, the airline’s planes have been especially active in flying to Eilat (the southernmost city of Israel).
At the same time, there was information that, taking into account the IDF’s military operations in Gaza, Baku is temporarily sending some of the weapons supplied back to Israel.
The aircraft in question flew from Tel Aviv to the Serbian capital Belgrade. After a short stay at the capital’s airport, the aircraft flew to the country’s largest air base, Batajnica (not far from the capital). The aircraft’s inspection/testing center is also located here.

A few dozen kilometers away is the Nikinci military training ground, where tests of the NORA-B52 self-propelled artillery system are being conducted. In early 2024, Azerbaijan purchased 48 units of NORA self-propelled artillery systems from Serbia (manufactured by the Yugoimport-SDPR company).
The plane’s next stop was in the Czech Republic, at Ostrava airport. Not far from Ostrava is the factory of the Czech defense company Excalibur Army, which produces DITA 155 mm self-propelled artillery systems.
