On December 5, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received Claudia Busch, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. This was reported by the information system of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The message states that His Holiness, congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of the appointment, wished him a successful mission in favor of further strengthening the ties between the two peoples.
The Armenian Patriarch expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation established between the two countries. The Catholicos of All Armenians also touched upon the worrisome geopolitical developments and their impact on the situation in our region, praying that conflicts in the world will cease and that different nations will not experience the same pain and suffering that the Armenian people suffered as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Ambassador assured His Holiness that he would do his utmost to further strengthen the friendship and relations between the two countries.
During the conversation, reference was also made to the programs of the Mother See aimed at overcoming the social problems of the forcibly displaced Armenians of Artsakh, as well as to the close cooperation in the inter-church sphere.
