China believes that EU actions against the country’s firms create trade barriers

The EU authorities’ actions related to anti-subsidy investigations against Chinese companies create trade and investment barriers, according to a statement published on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China based on the regulator’s own investigation.

“The Ministry of Commerce considers that the relevant practice adopted by the EU in investigating Chinese enterprises based on the provisions on foreign subsidies and the rules for their implementation constitutes a trade and investment barrier in accordance with Article 3 of the Rules on the Investigation of External Trade Barriers,” the publication says.
