As Vice Chairman of the Armenian Affairs Committee, I am deeply concerned by the recent arrests of Armenian dissidents, including Mr. Samvel Karapetyan and Armenian Clergy. US Congressman Brad Sherman, Vice Chairman of the Armenian Affairs Committee, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Our relationship with Armenia is based on our shared commitment to building democracy. I expressed these concerns today to the Armenian Ambassador to the United States, Lilit Makunts,” the Congressman wrote.
