The legislative initiative, authored by MPs Zaruhi Batoyan, Eriknaz Tigranyan and Lena Nazaryan, envisaging amendments and additions to the Law on Public Organizations and the Administrative Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, was included in the agenda of the May 5 meeting of the Standing Committee on the Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
The main speaker Zaruhi Batoyan said that the draft requires additional discussion and proposed postponing its discussion for up to two months. The proposal was accepted.
The commission adopted a decision on “Control over the Implementation of Legislation in the Sphere of Human Rights Protection.” Regional visits are also planned.
