Dmitriev calls on the EU to change its leadership to improve its chances of survival.

The European Union and the United Kingdom need leadership changes to improve their chances of survival amid the turmoil in European energy markets amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East, Russian presidential spokesman Kirill Dmitriev wrote on social media.

“The sooner they are replaced, the greater the chances of survival for the UK and Europe,” Dmitriev wrote.

He was commenting on a Financial Times report about the collapse of European energy markets, as investors are pricing in protracted turmoil amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

In his post, Dmitriev also called on Russophobic British and European bureaucrats to be held accountable for their misguided decisions and their failure to acknowledge and correct their own mistakes.

“They don’t listen, they don’t analyze, they don’t adapt,” Dmitriev added.

Earlier on Friday, Dmitriev advised the European Union to acknowledge its strategic, energy, and geopolitical mistakes, change its leadership, and abandon its Russophobic approach.
