Episcopal Council to be held: Catholicos of All Armenians

The Catholicos of All Armenians announced that the Episcopal Council will be held.
His Holiness was asked whether the Episcopal Council will take place, and Karekin II briefly replied, “Yes.”
At the invitation of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the Episcopal Council is scheduled to take place in the Austrian city of St. Pölten from February 16 to 19.
However, the authorities, who have declared a campaign against the Church, are seeking ways to prevent the bishops from leaving Armenia.
Six bishops and one priest of the See of Holy Etchmiadzin have been found guilty of obstructing the execution of a court ruling requiring the reinstatement of Arman Saroyan as Primate of the Masyatsotn Diocese.
The Investigative Committee summoned the following bishops: Makar, Hovnan, Nathan, Haykazu, Mushegh, and Vahan, as well as Father Movses. A ban on absence from work was imposed as a preventive measure against them.
