Event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held in Beijing

On April 24, a memorial event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Armenian Embassy in China.

As NEWS.am was informed by the Foreign Ministry, the event began with a ceremony of laying flowers and burning incense at the khachkar on the embassy grounds, after which a candlelight vigil was held.

The audience then listened to an excerpt from the documentary film “Master” about Komitas, after which the Ambassador of Armenia to China Vahe Gevorgyan spoke.

In his speech, the Ambassador honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and mentioned the efforts of the survivors to restore Armenian statehood, as well as the spiritual, economic and cultural revival of the Armenian people.

The event was attended by embassy staff, Armenian students studying at various universities in Beijing, as well as Armenian citizens.
