The Yerevan Investigative Committee has detained priests Father Paren, Father Manuk, Father Hayk, Father Mkrtich, Father Ghevond, as well as the Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese, Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, the Mother See reports.
As a reminder, we previously reported on the arrest of Father Paren Arakelyan, the spiritual pastor of Saghmosavank.
Father Yesain also reported that a search was conducted at the home of Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, the Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese. According to him, the priest was taken to the investigative department. It is worth noting that the Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese is the son of His Holiness’s sister.
