The leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh were convicted in a sham trial conducted by Azerbaijan. This was written by former Chief Criminal Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo at the International Criminal Court.
“These are civilians who were tried in a military court, a complete violation of fundamental human rights. Following the sham trial of Nagorno-Karabakh’s leaders, who are victims of ethnic cleansing and genocide, the European Commission cannot continue to ignore Azerbaijan’s human rights violations in order to obtain inflated oil prices,” Ocampo wrote.
