“I want to say to Vazgen: Vazgen, forgive us,” said Margarit Yesayan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia, speaking to reporters today at the Yerablur Military Pantheon, paying tribute to Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan on his birthday.
She noted that we have much to do to liberate Artsakh and make Artsakh Armenian again.
“A traitor, a traitor, an incomparable glutton, has come and ruined the victory of Vazgen and his friends. I’m simply surprised that Vazgen’s friends and family aren’t standing up today and offering the necessary resistance to this man. They’re not saying you had no right to ruin what Vazgen did.
I want to say to Vazgen: Vazgen, forgive us for failing to preserve your victories. I want to inspire our society; I don’t want to plunge it into despair and say that we owe a great debt to Vazgen, his friends, this Yerablur, these guys. We must do everything to first remove these government officials, these bashibozouks, from power in Armenia. We must do everything to ensure that Armenia has an Armenian state, Armenian statehood, a government that advances the interests of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Armenian people. We must do everything, we must do it at any cost, because Vazgen preserved it at any cost, they liberated Artsakh at the cost of… “blood,” Yesayan said.
