The Kronstadt District Court of St. Petersburg has placed Boris Avagyan, former employee of the territorial offices of Rosreestr and Rosimushchestvo, on the wanted list for customs evasion. This was reported to RBC by Darya Lebedeva, head of the United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg. Avagyan fled the courthouse.

“He was arrested by Russian special forces over the past month and taken to a police station for an identity check, as Armenia has declared him wanted. I voluntarily request extradition to Armenia,” he said.

When asked whether a criminal case had been opened against him in Armenia and whether he feared arrest here, Avagyan responded that this was his goal. “Let him be arrested and investigated, and then the court will decide whether I’m guilty or not,” Avagyan said.

Avagyan is wanted in Yerevan for illegal border crossing and money laundering.
