France will help Palestine draft a constitution for a future state, Macron announced.

France will assist the Palestinian Authority in drafting a constitution for a future Palestinian state, French President Emmanuel Macron announced after talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Paris, Reuters reports.

In September, several major Western countries, including France, officially recognized a Palestinian state. This move was prompted by frustration with Israel over the devastating war in the Gaza Strip and the desire to achieve a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict.
