Garegin B advised newly ordained priests to contribute to overcoming the problems facing the Armenian people

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, today received at the Mother Cathedral of the Mother of the Holy Mother of God the 6 clergymen who were recently ordained priests, led by the Acting Primate of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Eminence Archbishop Harutyun Kirakosyan, and the Primate of the Artik Diocese, His Eminence Bishop Narek Avagyan.

According to the information system of the Mother See, during the meeting, Father Harutyun introduced the newly ordained to the Catholicos of All Armenians, asking for His Holiness’ blessing and message to the ordained. In turn, Archbishop Narek expressed gratitude to the Armenian Patriarch for granting him the honor of performing priestly ordination.

Then, the Catholicos of All Armenians congratulated the clergy on the occasion of their priestly ordination, bringing them his paternal blessing and good wishes.

His Holiness urged the newly ordained priests to be worthy clergymen, to uphold the good reputation and authority of the Armenian Church with their dedicated service, and to strengthen the love of God, patriotism, and church-loving spirit in the hearts of Armenians. The Armenian Patriarch instructed the ordained to contribute to overcoming the challenges facing the Armenian people through spiritual and educational activities.

His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the ordaining Bishop Narek, as well as to the Inspectorate of the Mother See’s Spiritual Educational Institutions and the Ministry of Education for their efforts in the preparation and ordination of the clergy.

Finally, His Holiness blessed the priests with the “Protector” prayer, wishing them a fruitful spiritual mission.
