The de facto division of Gaza into Israeli- and Hamas-controlled areas is becoming increasingly likely, as US President Donald Trump’s attempts to implement his post-ceasefire plan to end the war have failed, Reuters reports, citing sources.
According to Reuters, six European diplomatic sources told the agency that implementation of Trump’s peace plan has effectively been suspended.
Following the prisoner and hostage exchange, the next stage of the plan—the disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza—has not yet begun.
