At least 193 people, including 96 children, have died of starvation in the Gaza Strip in recent days, the enclave Health Ministry reported on its Telegram channel.
According to the Health Ministry, five new cases of deaths of local residents due to malnutrition were registered in Gaza medical facilities in the last 24 hours alone.
According to TASS, international humanitarian aid has not reached the Gaza Strip since March 2, 2025. Israel decided to close all checkpoints and distribute food through the Gaza Humanitarian Aid Fund, managed by Israel and the United States.
In March, the Israeli army resumed hostilities in the Gaza Strip, violating the ceasefire established in January 2025. During several negotiations mediated by Qatar, Egypt and the United States, the parties to the conflict were unable to agree on the terms of a new agreement.
