Users are reporting that some Google Pixel 6 smartphones are not working after the Android 15 update, especially when using the new Private Space feature.
This does not apply to all Pixel 6 smartphones, but the increasing number of cases indicates a serious problem. Google has not yet issued an official response.
The problem occurs when users enable the Private Space feature on their Pixel 6 devices. One of the users said that the device stopped responding immediately after launching the Private Space application. Another user mentioned that he did not launch the Private Space application, but the device started to become unresponsive even though the battery had sufficient charge.
Both users reported that the phone was completely unresponsive, with normal troubleshooting actions such as pressing the power and volume down buttons ineffective. Connecting the devices to the computer didn’t help either.
Since the article was published, there have been more reports of the same issue, especially for those who haven’t activated Private Space. The exact cause of the problem is not yet known.
