Minister of National Defense of the Hellenic Republic Nikos Dendias sent a message on his microblog X on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

“We mark the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Armenian Genocide with deep respect.”

Greeks share the pain of persecution and genocide with the people of Armenia. “Recognition of the historical truth is the duty of humanity,” Dendias wrote.

Recall that this year marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Every year on April 24, a mourning procession of hundreds of thousands of Armenians silently moves to the Armenian Genocide Memorial, laying flowers in memory of approximately 1.5 million victims.
