Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are participating in the development of very important projects, said Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan after a meeting with his visiting Georgian counterpart, Maka Botchorishvili, in Turkey, reports First Channel television of Georgia.
According to Fidan, the participation of all three aforesaid countries is crucial in the development of these projects, and this makes it possible to establish peace in the region.
“Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia have long been engaged in the development of very important projects, which have a rather high strategic function. The [Georgian foreign] minister has already noted that the participation of all three countries is of crucial importance in the development of these projects, and all this, of course, will ultimately enable us to establish peace in the region.
Especially the opportunities of the Caspian Sea—in the development of both European and global markets. And, of course, the Black Sea region and its potential are of primary importance. These may not be high-level projects, but it is very important to develop them from a regional perspective. We already have exemplary relations with three countries—Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan—and this can be considered an exemplary model for other countries,” the Turkish FM said.
